On Thursday, July 9, South Orange residents – symptomatic or asymptomatic – can be tested for COVID-19 at a testing location in the SOPAC parking lot.  The testing will last from 4:00-6:00 pm.

Residents can visit www.EssexCOVID.org to sign up for an appointment. 350 appointments are available, so residents are encouraged to act fast.

The test will be saliva based and residents should not eat, drink or chew gum at least 30 minutes prior to testing.

The testing will be free to the public, no payment or insurance will be required. Residents do not need to be symptomatic to receive a test.

Residents should continue to check southorangecovid19.com for additional Coronavirus updates and residents who have not registered with the Village’s SO Alert emergency notification system are encouraged to do so at: http://www.southorange.org/610/SO-Alerts.
